Goals and Accomplishments

Our "goals" are to benefit our Parish and our Community.  We accomplish this by the various projects that we do within our Community.   Some of the various projects that we have done and are still doing for our Parish and our Community has been our  "first Sunday of the Month" breakfast from 8 A.M. to 11 A.M. at our Holy Trinity Parish Hall.  We have been doing this for well over two years now.  This has benefited  our Parish by bringing in "revenues" that has given us the ability to beautify the inside and the outside of our Parish Hall .  We had the Hard Wood floor resurfaced and we planted new sod and added a sprinkler system to our Parish Hall 's newly planted lawn.  We had a new concrete "wheel Chair" ramp added to the front entrance of our Parish Hall.  We also painted the inside and the outside of our Holy Trinity Church, replaced many worn out fluorescent lights and  painted the Red Wood fence that surrounds our Church.

Leonard Dart has been supervising and coordinating many of these projects.

Our most recent project that has been completed was the "grotto"  that was built around our Lady of Fatima Statue (See picture below).  The idea of building a "grotto" around our Lady of Fatima was originally introduced by my Aunt Mary Amaral and soon friends such as Theresa Scattini and Leonard Dart made this "idea"  quickly turn into a reality.   Sod, (Lawn in front of our Lady of Fatima Shrine), was donated by "Greenfield Turf "  and Leonard Dart and Carol Martella did a superb  job of  installing it.  My "Hat goes off" to all involved in making this happen.   Our Lady of Fatima Shrine is now a very beautiful shrine that all of us can "take to heart".

Rev. Eugenio Aramburo , our Holy Trinity Church Pastor,  had a special  "outside" mass in dedication to the completion of the "grotto"  around our Lady of  Fatima.  Many Parishioners attended this "dedication"  and after the "dedication", we all gathered at our Holy Trinity Parish Hall for a small lunch that was sponsored by our Knights of Columbus.

Another goal that Leonard Dart set as a project  for our "Knights" in Greenfield, was the rebuilding of Holy Trinity's Barbeque.  As you can see from the picture below, Leonard Dart, Mike Romo and  Dennis Rolandi are presently "turning" this project into a reality.

Holy Trinity's Barbeque had been used for many years and the concrete blocks were now in need of replacement.  Our Grand Knight-Tony Gonzales, dedicated his time to purchase and bring all the needed concrete blocks to our Holy Trinity's Barbeque area so that Mike, Leonard, and Dennis could begin rebuilding the Barbeque.

A lot of time and effort, once again, is being dedicated by many of our members of our Knights of Columbus Council 12888 in the further improvement of our Holy Trinity Parish.

Soon, we will all have a newly rebuilt Barbeque that our Parish and Community can use for all of their special events.

Again, "my hat goes off" to all of the members of Council 12888 that have dedicated their time and expertise toward this goal.

Yes, from "what"  you can read above, you can easily see that our most important accomplishment has been that we have brought a large part of our Community "closer" and that has always been and will always be the "main" goal of the Knights of Columbus.
